USD/CHF trades above 0.9900 for the first time since 2012
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CHF broke above 0.9885 and jumped to 0.9906, reaching the strongest level in two years. The pair pulled back modestly afterwards and it was trading slightly below 0.9900, up only 20 pips for the day, but headed toward the highest close in 28 months.
The pair gained momentum as the EUR/USD dropped sharply to fresh 2014 lows. The euro and the Swiss franc are the worst performer of the American session so far. The GBP/CHF erased losses during the last two hours and is trading back above 1.5350 while EUR/CHF holds steady above 1.2025.
USD/CHF extends 2014 gains
Last year the pair finished at 0.8905/10 and with today’s rally greenback extended yearly gains to 1000 pips; having the best performance since 2005.
