Wall Street rises for 4th day on earnings season hopes
FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US stocks market closed higher on Tuesday as investors were confidence in a better than previously expected positive start to the Q2 earnings season.
Today's session has been the first 4-day streak for the Dow since April and the best close in the Nasdaq since 2000.
The Dow Jones advanced 75.65 points or 0.50% to finish the day at 15,300.34. The S&P 500 added 11.85 pts or 0.72% to 1,652.31. And the Nasdaq Composite closed the day at 3,504.26 after rising 19.43 pts or 0.56% so far today.
