EUR/USD breaks below 1.0660 and tests 1.0635

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The Euro continues with its decline against the US Dollar on Wednesday and after falling around 50 pips from 1.0695, the pair is now testing the 1.0640 level, fresh lows since April 2003.

Wednesday is the 8th negative day in the last 10 days for the EUR/USD, since February 26, the Euro to Dollar exchange rate has collapsed 735 pips to today's lows.

Currently, EUR/USD is trading at 1.0650, down 0.44% on the day, having posted a daily high at 1.0718 and low at 1.0644.

If the pair consolidates levels below 1.0650, it will find next support at 1.0630, 1.0600 and 1.0500. To the upside, resistances are at 1.0660, 1.0700 and 1.072.

ECB expanded policy tools to meet the mandate – Draghi

The European Central Bank (ECB) President Mario Draghi, during his speech in Frankfurt today, said the bank expanded its policy tools to meet the mandate, further stating that the governing council confirmed the validity of the asset purchases as a tool.
