USD/CHF slumps and hits 10-day lows
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CHF fell sharply and hit fresh daily lows at the beginning of the New York session as the dollar weakened across the board, mainly driven by EUR/USD rise amid hopes of a Greek deal.
USD/CHF dropped nearly 100 pips in a matter of minutes and scored a 10 day low of 0.9308 before finding support and retracing half of the fall. At time of writing, the pair is trading at 0.9350, still recording a 1.08% loss on the day.
The dollar is falling against major peers, mainly dragged by losses against the euro. The shared currency is outperforming on Tuesday, propelled by hopes Greece and its creditors will finally struck a deal to avoid a Greek default and a potential Grexit.
