US: Initial Jobless Claims rose to 308K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) -According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 1K last week to a seasonally adjusted 308K in the week ended September 27, below forecasts at 313K and coming from 307K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 104K to a seasonally adjusted 2.925 million in the week ended September 20 vs. 2.821 million in the previous week (revised).
