European stocks trade mixed amid holiday-thinned markets

The stocks on the European bourses set off the week on a flat note, trading lack-lustre in a tight range as holiday-thinned markets fail to provide any impetus to the European traders.

Markets in London are closed on Monday due to the celebration of the Spring Bank holiday and will reopen on Tuesday. The European traders now await the German inflation figures for fresh incentives to the region’s equity markets. The German annual inflation rate is seen at 0.1% following -0.1% in April. On a monthly basis, consumer prices are expected to hike 0.3%, after April's 0.4% fall.

Meanwhile, Germany's DAX 30 index rises +0.16% to 10, 303. Among the other indices, the French CAC 40 index slips -0.17% at 4,507 levels, while the pan-European Euro Stoxx 50 index trades modestly flat around 3,075 points.
