US durable goods orders fall 2.2% in May
Durable goods orders, which group products that are designed to last at least three years, decreased a seasonally adjusted 2.2% in May, to $230.7 billion, the US Census Bureau said Friday. The reading missed by far expectations of a more modest decline of 0.5%.
Orders for durable goods excluding the transportation category fell 0.3% from the prior month, worse than a flat reading expected.
