BOJ to consider options based on policy review – BOJ’s Suga
A comprehensive review of the Bank of Japan’s monetary policy that Gov. Haruhiko Kuroda promised in July is due for release today.
There is a lot of speculation over the central bank’s next move and about pros and cons of the “unprecedented” monetary stimulus implemented by Kuroda since 2013 and the negative interest rate policy it introduced in February.
Japan’s Cabinet Secretary Suga believes the Bank of Japan (BOJ) is likely to consider options based on the policy review. Suga also reiterated that government will closely work with the BOJ in order to achieve the mandate.
