US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 315K
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 9K last week to a seasonally adjusted 315K in the week ended March 7, bettering forecasts at 330K and coming from 324K (revised from 323K) in the previous print. Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, dropped by 48K to a seasonally adjusted 2.855 million in the week ended February 28 vs. 2.903 million in the previous week (revised from 2.907 million).
